3 yr old, only 2 wees in 48 hours.. Throat & ear infection

My 3 yr old son has been unwell for a week, sick one day, diarreah the next, and just generally lying on sofa sleeping or just lying there.
He is only having one wee a day, i had hime at the doctors y'day and he has got ear and throat infection and suspected water infection, i have got to get a sample off him but he hasnt had a wee since dinner time yesterday.
He is drinking.

If he has a suspected wee infection and is only peeing once a day, you need to get him to A&E. Don't want to alarm you but this needs sorting ASAP. It will not be an overreaction to take him to hospital. Don't wait for another GP visit. (Had a similar situation with dd2 (cold masking a wee infection) and she ended up in hospital extremely unwell.) Let us know how you go.

is he drinking enough? or just some sips?

if he has a high temp he will need more fluid than normal (i think)

He just had his first wee since y'day dinner time so i got a sample to send off now.
He is drinking but not loads just a few sips every now and then i keep offering in more dirinks thou.
also i popped a rehydration sachet in his drink so that should help.
is temp has been ok today but it has been up and down.
the doctor wasnt too worried that he wasnt weeing very often.
