joint pain after slapped cheek

I had slapped cheek in Feb with the classsic adult problem of swollen ppainful joints for about 10 days .

In the last couple weeks the joint pain has returned in my fingers, one hand only.

Any ideas?

I had slapped cheek a few weeks ago, and have had flare ups of stiff, painful joints since. My gp said these flare ups can go on for years.
