Worrying about my DH - lump

Hi, my dh found a lump in his testicle a couple of weeks ago. He went to the dr and has been referred. It's about 1.5 cm but is getting bigger he thinks and he's also experiencing a dull ache. We are waiting for the referral to come through but I am so worried, I know no one here can diagnose but I'm wondering if anyone has been through this and has and stories of outcomes? Either good or bad? If not cancerous, what sort of things can have these symptoms? Thank you.

My Nephew had this and it had even spread to some lymph nodes in his tummy area .One injection of chemo per month for 2 months and he was cured.
Testicular cancer is the easiest to cure.The cyclist Armstrong had it spread to his lungs and liver and still was cured.

My DH found a lump a few years back. Didnt tell me for weeks but I knew something was worrying him. Found out as he had been googling Testicular cancer so marched him to GP.

GP arranged an urgent USS and bloods and it was nothing sinister just a thickening of one of the tubes and he was given 2 weeks of antibiotics and never had problems since.

How old is your husband? Mine is 40-50 bracket.
Has yours had a scan yet?

Go back to the doctor with the changes of symptom. The GP is the only person who can give you accurate advice.

He is in the right position to judge whether the changes are significant or worrying and he will act accordingly.

Don't google, don't speculate and don't procrastinate. Go back to the doctor.

Go straight back to the doctor. If it is anything serious then the earlier he's treated the better. Especially since testicular cancer is a deal easier to get into remission.

He hasn't had a scan. Only went to the gp last Monday. He is 31.

He is going to ring today and ask for a telephone appt and explain the symptom changes. I found him looking up to check his life insurance policy yesterday! :( he must be concerned, I'm usually the worrier.

If it is testicular cancer you do not need to worry about it being life threatening as it is not.

My Nephew was also in his early 30s, had lump removed and analylised.

He was cured, even though it had spread with just 2 injections of chemo.

The killed tumours in his tummy area did have to be taken out afterwards. He was given a statistical chance of 98% complete cure when diagnosed.

And it might be just a cyst. But of course he is worrying and must get it properly diagnosed. Good luck
