Worrying about numbness in hands

I've been getting occasional numbness in my fingers and feet over the last while & can't help worrying is it a sign of something sinister or possibly a circulation issue? Other than that I'm pretty healthy. I even went for an expensive medical earlier in the year to calm my tendency to worry. Does anyone else fret about their health? I know I should just go to my gp, ill make an appointment monday. Sad

It is something called peripheral neuropathy-nerve damage in the extremities. It can be temporary or permanent.Mine was caused by chemotherapy and dh's by Type2 diabetes but it is usually hard to diagnose and harder to treat though I believe that taking Vitamin B12 can help.

Thanks greylady. I several falls off a horse a few years ago and my amateur therapist reckons its nerve damage as a result of that. It is predominantly on the left where my body was over stretched in the same way during a series of falls. I should probably see a nerve specialist to get a diagnosis. Thanks for the b12 tip.
