Hello, I'm 6 month pregnant and on clexane for blood clotting disorder. Just realised I forgot to collect me prescription and run out of medication. Can I get emergency medication without prescription just to see me through till Monday? If yes then where: hospital or pharmacy? Please advise. Thank u in advance!

Or you could try OOH, but the pharmacist first.

Is the clexane prescribed by your GP or the hospital? Assuming GP, you need to phone the out of hours service (NHS Direct or 111 depending on the area, will post a link in a mo which I think shows which is operating per region). They may or may not send you to an out of hours centre but more likely they will have a GP prescribe over the phone and fax a prescription to a (community) pharmacy which is open tomorrow.

List of areas where 111 is operating is on this page under 'NHS 111 areas'.
