Does anyone take supplements for joint pain?

I have a lot of joint pain in my big toe joint.

I sometimes put cream on it that helps but I was wondering if I should be taking a supplement to see if it will ease the pain.

I've had it for years but in the past year it has got worse.

Thanks

My mum swears by glucosamine (although I believe the evidence is a bit mixed, but hey it doesn't hurt!) and we both take Omega 3. They reckon the high quality stuff is better (and more expensive, of course!) - we use minami platinum.

Health food shops also a good source of general advice but do be careful as some supplements interact with meds - hope you feel better soon!

Yes I was going to say glucosamine too. My manager has arthritis and swears by it. It is hideously expensive though.

I get a lot of joint pain (I have ME) but take amitryptiline.
