I have a sinus infection, terrible hay fever, a streaming cold, mouth ulcers and the period from hell. BUT my son has a brain tumour so I can't complain as nothing can compare to that.

But I feel rotten, I'm run down and exhausted.

I want someone to say 'there, there, pet, you're all right' and stroke my forehead please.

And carers need care, too. No competitive ill-ing! You're going through the mill together, just at different levels, and need as much soothing and pampering for yourself as you can squeeze in.

Sorry, meant, no underplaying your own needs just because someone else is iller.
