DD had MMR today, red book wasn't completed?

My DD (5) had the MMR today, she had one single measles and rubella when she was a baby, but was told she wasn't covered.

She had it today and boy did she scream Sad

I gave the red book to the nurse and she just shoo'd use out of the room and told me to fill it in. Surely she should do that as it had batch numbers etc.

Or does it really not matter, she's had it which is the main thing.

they need to put the batch sticker etc in the book

did you sign the consent form as well?

mummytowillow · 25/04/2013 18:33

No she showed me the box and she said the following:

With your permission I am giving this MMR to ... do you agree and I said yes.

Bit bothered now?

My DS had his booster a couple of months ago and I didn't have to sign anything Confused. Or for any of his or DD's vaccines. Are we supposed to?

My dd had mmr last week and the nurse filled in red book with batch number, date, which arm she had the jab in etc. The nurse should have filled it in.

noblegiraffe · 26/04/2013 19:46

If the batch numbers haven't been recorded that's quite bad as they'll be needed if your DD develops a reaction so it can be traced back.
