Alternatives to Roaccutane?

I've been referred to a dermatologist on account of severe adult acne. My sister has been through the same thing, has been on Roaccutane for 5 months and still has bad skin. Are there any other options available through the NHS?
I've had various antibiotics and topical treatments over the years to no avail. It's really getting my down just now, especially when my baby is flailing about and hits my face, it's really sore!

Duac - supposed to be very good.

Thanks grants, Duac is on the long list of things that I've tried. I did find it helpful to an extent, but I couldn't use it for any length of time as it made my skins incredibly sensitive, and it didn't provide any long term relief for me.
