Blood pressure 93/45 - too low?

Have been having a few things done lately which meant having my bp taken. All mentioned how low my bp was and the above reading being the best of the 2 taken today. I generally always feel tired and lethargic and now wondering if that's due to such a low bp?

My BP never really goes above 100/60 but no one has ever said that its a bad thing, just a thing.

Watching with interest to see if it is indeed not good.

Mine had been low in the past and was low when I was pregnant.

It can make you feel dizzy and lightheaded especially when you stand up quickly from sitting or lying. If it gets too low it can make you feel faint, and actually faint too. It never made me feel tired though.

Low blood pressure can be a symptom of other things though, and feeling tired may also be another symptom of these...

Only when my BP hit 70/30 was there any discussion about maybe doing something about it - they did nothing. It is generally not taken very seriously.

My SIL has had 100/60 for years, but has no bad side effects, and is a strong and energetic person. She was told she has an amazing cardio vascular system < inherited from her dad>.

Never feels dizzy and wakes up at 5am all bright eyed and bushy tailed!

If you are feeling tired and lethargic, you could have your Thyroid tested .

The 45 does seem particularly low. I don't think they tend to do anything about low blood pressure unless it causes symptoms like faintness, or is associated with another condition which needs treating. Some conditions can cause low blood pressure (and might also be causing your fatigue?).
