Hi I need some advise, I havent had a period in about 3 months! I was on the pill but then I had to start taking antibiotics for an infection so as I have to take a break from my pills every few minths or so i thought I would do it then. I had some minor spotting that week and since then NOTHING!! I havent gone back on my pills yet as I am waiting for a period.

No the logical reason would be Im pregnant [shoc] but I cant be, dd has been ill and ive been tired alot and to be quite honest until last week dp and I havent had it in about 4 months or more. I dont "feel" pregnant either.

Any advise? Or does anyone have a spare pregnancy test just it case Wink

If you've done a test and its negative another possible explanation is that there could be a hormonal problem (two possibilities in this regard are polycystic ovaries or thyroid problems). A blood test can and should be done to assess your hormone levels properly. An internal ultrasound could also be done to assess the state of yoru ovaries (polycystic ovaries have multiple follicles on them).

The pill would not have caused this to arise; if anything the pill can mask symptoms of any underlying hormonal imbalances. These imbalances disrupt periods and ovulation.

Would in any case seek medical advice asap.

It could simply be coming off the pill that's done it. It can take months for you period to come back when you stop the pill - the first time I came off it, it took 13 months before they came back.

WWB Im normally ok, I come off the pill quite reguarly you see as if I stay on it for too long (normally over 4-5 months) I get very hormal and my bleeds are horrible so I take breaks and have normal periods. But it hasnt worked that way this time, I may book a docs appointment

Sounds sensible to see the GP if it's usually OK. Underactive thyroid and anaemia can cause period problems too, so it might be worth asking for blood tests to rule those out.
