Cut on lip

Julty12 · 31/03/2013 16:33

For the past month i've had a cut on my top lip and I can't seem to get rid of it because it keeps splitting. It can split when I'm eating, drinking and even talking, its a bit of a nightmare really.

Any suggestions as to how I can stop it splitting so it can heal? The only thing I've tried so far is vaseline but it doesn't seem to be helping anymore.

Try sudocrem while you sleep.

Ive used compeed cold sore patches before, they worked well. Basically just a mini dressing.

I hadn't thought of sudocrem, I'll give that a try tonight. If that doesn't work then compeed cold sore patches it is.

You might need a cream for it with fucidic acid in. Sometimes they get an infection and it just needs a bit of help to clear up. Your GP/dentist should be able to help.
