L1 L3 SPINE

i had a fall on 15th feb still in hosp i have to have a op on my back my L1 L3 bones are broke and trapping my nerves that control my bladder and bowels ive already had a op on my femur i have a pin in it ,but im so scared i wont wake up and cant stop crying about it all anyone had op on they spine and how long b4 home ive been in hosp for 5 weeks now i just wanna go home [sad[

Oh you poor thing - being in hospital for so long is awful no wonder you feel low. I have just had C 4/5/6/7 fused and they got me walking about same day and home within 3 days. Talk to the nurses, ask to see the anaesthetists - the most common fear they deal with is not waking up and they can be SO reassuring. Ask for consultant to come and see you and answer all your questions (demand if need be - I know that's the last thing you feel up to but do you have a DP who could demand on your behalf?) im ok ben crying on /off ops due mon im 2nd on the list i know i will wake up im just been silly has i had a 3-4 hour op on my femur

hi my op went fine im now bk in hudds waiting to put weight on my leg so i can get walking been in 7 weeks now x
