Hello i posted a few weeks ago about my sister.

She has ovarian cancer(they think) as her blood tests are indicating there is something and she also has a growth on her ovary.

She has gone into St Marys in Manchester today, she has her op tomorrow morning.

She doesnt want any of us to go until Weds when she hopefully will be feeling a bit better.

I have made her a picture/scrapbook page of her and her DD as i dont know what else to do.

I feel so numb.

jenk1, so hoping that the news is better than you all fear, and that your sister's surgery goes as well as it possibly can.
Thinking of you both. It's so hard when a much loved sibling makes it clear they want to go through something alone XXX

I can understand how terrified you might be. A friend of mine had ovarian cancer a couple of years ago when she was in her mid-thirties. The treatment was a rough time for her and the family but she has recovered really well and the outlook is very positive. Two of my mums sisters have had breast cancer and they both received a lot of support from groups and charities associated with the hospital as well as the treatment which helped tremdously in terms of coping with what was happening. I hope things go well for you all.

Thinking of you and your sister, jenk1, and hoping to hear all went well later in the week. Take care XXX

My mum phoned the ward and the nurse told her that S was first on the operating list and that they had prepared her and she was very calm.

She should be in theatre now.

She doesnt want any visitors today as she will more than likely just sleep the rest of the day the nurse said.

I am going to see her tomorrow.

Hoping (and praying) for a good surgeon, that everything goes better than expected and a swift and permanet recovery for your sis.

Best wishes, Patttsy x
