I'm struggling to get a GP appointment to coincide with someone to look after our nearly-3-year-old DD (who will be scarred for life if she is forced to watch me sob my way through the blood test... 
)
Can any one tell me how simple the home kits are to use, how easy it is to get the required amount of blood and how much it hurts ?
Obviously I do plan on going to the GP when I can, but if the results are positive I will feel better about asking DH to take (yet more) holiday or calling in favours from family who live miles away. I can also get a head start on the spatone.
