Ok, first thing is that he wears contacts for the majority of the time.
He has what looks like a spot on his eye, its only been there since this morning, but it is also weeping.
What could it be, thanks in advance

I'd phone NHS Direct if I were you - no idea what it could be, but anything to do with the eye needs serious attention IMO.

Agree that you should contact NHS Direct -they may suggest you go to A&E and see the on-call opthamologist.

Don't wait when it comes to eyes. I'm currently suffering from an eye condition and spent last Friday evening in hospital being seen (its a condition that can cause damage if its not treated asap)

Its not what your DH has but I just wanted to emphasise that you should get it looked at asap.

It could be something like shingles, which can cause problems if it's not treated quickly. He should see someone as soon as he can really, you can't take chances with your eyes.

Thx for the advice, dh being a "man" isnt happy about ringing nhs direct, cause they are bound to say go to a and e, but im gonna have to do some persuading.
Thanks again

Agree you should get it checked out. Fingers crossed it is nothing serious. I was wondering if he could have nicked himself with a contact lense as he was putting it in?

Whilst on the subject of eyes - dh has (for the second time in as many months) developed what looks like a blood blister on the white of his eye. It's about the size of my little fingernail. It's not bloodshot, just this one patch of red blood. I tried googling but I can't find anything. Any ideas anyone?

Hey, I had that about 2months ago.
NHS direct tole me it was nothing serious, that i probably banged it without really noticing.
It went within 10 days.
But, ring NHS direct just to be on the safe side. I used a eye drop to keep it moistured, which did seem to help.
