Reaction to jabs or growth spurt?

Ds had his first set of injections last thursday and has gone from being very content and settled to inconsolable over the past couple of days. He has fed on and off nearly all day and has hardly slept (very unlike him) but I am not sure whether he could just be feeling the effects of the jabs or really needing to feed so often. Is there anything I can do? He is so upset I just don't know what to do with him.

It could well be the jabs, my DS was like this after his first lot (and funnily enough I posted earlier about the fact he's come up in a rash after his polio etc booster!!)

Did the Dr say you can use calpol? Mine did, and I would always use it for a child who is out of sorts after jabs. Should resolve some of the fractiousness.

Is it ok to give calpol a few days after the event (IYKWIM) I got the impression the doc just meant directly after the injections?

anchie, if the Dr aid it's OK for your child I would assume this means it's safe whenever really. IIRC, Dr said half a spoon of calpol for DS. Is that what yours suggested?

Yep that's how much he said. Will give it a go and will be back if it doesn't help! Thanks!
