Dr can't see me for a few days. Is there anything I can get from the chemist? Suffering a fair bit from it now.

And does cranberry juice really work? Currently drinking bucketloads of water

Yes they do sachets I can't remember what they're called but you don't even need a pharmacy they are just on they shelf Smile hope you feel better soon

No to cranberry juice.
Cystopurin I think it's called takes the sting out if wee.
I've cured mine before by drinking loads until my bladder is mega full then weeing. You have to resist the urge to go though which is hard.
If its very bad or painful or blood in urine then insist on being seen or go to out of hours

cystopurin

I think cranberry juice is more a prevention than a cure, but drinking loads of water will help.

Cranberry juice is supposed to prevent bacteria "sticking" so it can help but I've never found it makes any difference after you already have symptoms. Cystopurin helps definitely and there are cheaper own brand versions as well.... Should be in the family planning section of the Chemist. Drink as much water as you possibly can, it will help flush your system out and dilute your wee so it hurts less!! Your body might be able to fight off the infection and you could feel a lot better by your Drs appt. get well soon xx

thank you! off to the high street now.

Had reservations about cranberry juice- doesn't seem right for this, it's so sugary.
