Haematoma post C-section. Treatment?

I had a c-section(4th)/sterilisation last week, pain in my right side before I left hospital which was put down to stitches.

Sunday night noticed lump and massive bruising and MW on Mon suggested haematoma, said it will disperse by itself and take painkillers. Was worse Monday night, MW yesterday said same & not infected.

Last night I couldn't cope with the pain and was seen in maternity but they couldn't offer any more painkillers as I had had max dose for the day. Was given ABs as precaution & blood tests done for infection. No other treatment offered so I came home.

Am I really stuck like this until it disperses?
I was housebound for 3 months prior to birth with SPD , I can't face another few weeks ( months?) of this. I can't even currently put clothes over it!
