Urinary Tract Ultasound for 3 yr old DD

My DD (who is just 3) is shortly to have an ultrasound to look at her urinary tract. This is a follow up to a (now cleared) urine infection. Can anyone whose child has experienced this tell me what to expect? Does she sit up/lie down, does she have to get undressed, how long will it take? Thanks, I'd just like to prepare her.

The ultrasound will probably be to look at the structure of her kidneys and bladder.
She will be lying on a bed in a very non threatening dim room. she will have some cold jelly put on her side (both) though he will look one at a time. then he will put some jelly on her lower tummy just above the pubic bone to look at her bladder.
None of it will be painful. She should not hae to get undressed if she wears a lose fitting t shirt and trousers
Jelly can be cold.
When the chap had it the had a lovely light display on the ceiling for him to look at.

DD had a scan due to a uti when she was 5.
She had to have lots to drink so they could scan her with a full bladder, then she went to the loo and they scanned her again. They had to do her belly and her back. They were able to give me the results at the same time.

jelly is usually warmed, unless you have a particularly sadistic sonographer!

dd had one as a 4 month old. Had to feed her before hand but it was very quick and thorough and not uncomfortable at all. She then had a dye flushed through her system and x rays taken as she weed to check for kidney reflux, which was not so pleasant.
