Why do I feel so ill ?

I feel ruddy awful :(

Thought it was a bug, gp gave me antibiotics (shock!) 3 days on I feel awful/ worse? But weird things as well?

Golf ball glands
Sore throat & lumps/ scabby bits when swallowing
Throat swollen in & out, harder to breathe (hence sleep apnea hence gp giving antibiotics)
Chesty cough but didn't sound bad when gp listened

Now the weird things:
Badly Aching fanjo & boobs (causing more urinary errr dampness than usual screwed pelvic floor). Ice helps.

Dizziness & fading in & out of world a bit (like when you suddenly realise you drank too much & trying hard to look sober, or withdrawal symptoms from drugs - legal ones!)

Tingles, sweating, shivering, freezing numb hands, shooting pains in limbs, skin hurts to touch but no massive fever. Keep waking and having to walk up & down or shake whole arms to stop the weird nasty feelings (like restless leg but massive movements even in sleep).

It's not flu, no runny nose etc

What is it???? I think the gp will think am super paranoid if go again as its not a 'thing' but lots of easily dismissed stuff but basically I feel farrrking awful and slightly anxious about the whole thing?

You poor thing. You have to go back to the GP. Maybe you need different antibiotics. Maybe you simply need reassurance. But you certainly need another check up.

And, in the meantime, you need to rest.

I am not medically qualified, but I do know that 'golf-ball glands' mean your body is fighting a virus or infection, so the doctor will certainly not think you are paranoid for going back.

glandular fever?

ToffeeWhirl · 10/03/2013 01:28

Well, it's horrible to be worrying about stuff like this. I'm off to bed in a minute, but didn't want to read and run. Boobs and fanjo issues might just be part of your body's inflammation and general achiness.

Hope you manage to get some sleep, even with a wriggly DS.

Hadn't thought of glandular fever. I had that when I was 19 (a very, very long time ago). Felt extremely ill and had the sorest throat ever. Yes, I agree that is a possibility.

DoubleLifeIsALifeHalved · 10/03/2013 01:33

Oooh, well it's got the word glands in it which seems true! Will google I think

Just having a slightly hysterical (silly hysterical not panicked!)... Found myself muttering to self as raiding freezer

"ah there's nothing like the crunch of frozen peas on a fanjo to delight the cosleeping child"

Silly but to my horror Ive realised I keep repeating it until its changed into
"ah there's nothing like the crunch of GRILLED fanjo to delight the cosleeping child" what the actual!!!

Poor you. I have to say it sounds very similar to what I have been suffering from (whatever the jeff that is).

I really sympathise. I am coming to the end of week 3 of feeling like you describe.

I can onto this forum to ask when I should see a Dr, always feel a bit daft going for a sore throat type of thing but this is hell. I ache from head to toe and feel tender in groin and under my arms and wonder if that may be glands as well as the one in my neck.

DoubleLifeIsALifeHalved · 10/03/2013 07:58

Oh dear, horrible night and no let up this morning though temperature better.

I too feel really time wasting going to gp, was there for sommat else last week which was why I saw one last week. Not sure whether I can face going back again but owwwwwww
