Progesterone too low?

Have just stopped taking cerazette after ages! Feeling really down, weepy etc and wondered if my progesterone has hit the floor (I'm 52 1/2) Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Do you think it's HRT time? I know I need to go to GP really, but it takes so long to get in.

Definitely try HRT if you have no concerns about taking it. I've been on it since I was 50 - the combined one. That was some years ago.

Thanks Digerd, what changes did it make for you?

It cured a variety of my problems.

  1. stopped the night sweats and aching bones.
  2. My legs felt lighter as had been feeling heavy
  3. Cleared my muzzy head
  4. Just felt more normal again.

I didn't suffer from day-time hot flushes.
Always thought it was the reduction in oestrogen that had the bad effects.

Good luck

think you need to see your GP for a blood test to find out what is wrong
