Had a copper coil fitted last week. Alot less painful than expected, had a few very sharp pains since but nothing unmanageable. Until yesterday anyway
Think it has kick-started my period (as opposed to just post-coil bleeding, though not entirely sure) and the pain is quite different than what I'm used to - it's very sharp, intense pains deep in what I think is my cervix (I think, from what I know of it when they clamped it on insertion). They're not the continual ache of normal abdominal period pains, they're infrequent but very, very painful.
Is this type of cervical pain/cramping normal? I will call the drs if it stops raining if it's still bad next week, but in the meantime do I need to stop being such a wimp?
