Tree pollen allergy or virus?

Anyone else started with this? I feel tight chested and wheezy. I live near parks and woodland so no avoiding it really. I take inhalers anyway. Have also had a dull headache for last few days and feel like I'm getting a cold. Not sure if allergy or viral?

My hay fever has well and truly started, so it could well be tree pollen allergy. All the catkins and similar are out where I am, and the evil pollen is wafting about...

Can you try an anti-histamine for a couple of days (assuming you can take them), and see if it makes a difference?

Took some cetirizine last night. Feel dreadful. Could barely get out of bed feel so wiped out. I feel like I've got a hangover! Sure I took them last year and they were ok?! I'm on anti fungal tabs for nail infection, so wondering if they've reacted.... Need to find a good anti drowsy antihistamine now! Any ideas? Going to spend today in zombie like haze....

Oh no! I take cheap old Loratadine - and I buy the generics, so own label Non-Drowsy Hay Fever relief. I also take own brand versions of Opticrom drops and Beconase nasal spray. I'm all about the cheap generic dugs!

But I'd speak to pharmacist and tell them what you're on - asthma stuff and anti-fungals - so that they can check for contra-indications.

Feel better soon!

Spoken to the pharmacist who said people rarely get bad reactions from cetirizine (helpful) and suggested I try Beconase. Will give it a go tommorrow morning and see what happens.
