I get quite a few mouth ulcers (usualy due to stress or illness), yesterday my mouth felt sore so thought i was getting another but this one seems to be huge and has what feels like a hole in the middle and raised around the edges, its on the inside of my cheek, near my bottom gum (hard to explain). Have never had one like this before or that close to my gums. Does it sound like a ulcer? i cant remember hurting myself or anything.

Have you been chewing the inside of your gum, say, subconsciously, perhaps?
If its really sore, try corsodyl, hope thst helps Smile

I used to get loads like this, tried Corsodyl and didn't help. After a bit of research I tried L-Lysine supplements from Holland and Barrett. Worked for me. If you're really worried get your GP or dentist to check it out. Good luck, they're horrid.

I don't think I chew my mouth ( unless I do it in my sleep ), will go the the chemist tomorrow or H&b. hate getting mouth ulcers as I ant eat chocolate.

Shock horror, not being able to eat chocolate...just not on!! I used to bite my gum subconsciously then it hurt like hell when I realised what I'd done. Sounds the same type of ulcer I had.

You could try corsodyl or the L -lysine that Kat has mentioned. See what works best for youSmile

from what you have said this sounds recent. however any mouth ulcer that doesn't clear within two weeks needs to be seen by a dentist. If you are not registered with a dentist you should be able to get seen at an emergency or walk in dental clinic.
