Hi Fellows,

On Saturday, I am going to have surgery for endometriosis. I have a laparoscopy, Novasure ablation and D&C. Those things are really scared me. I need your help, anyone here had one of these things cured? Was it a lot of pain with you? How ddid you deal with the disease?

I need your opinion about surgery for endometriosis. This is a source where I got a clue about surgery for endometriosis. Any advice would be really nice, thanks in advance!

Hi OP I have endo, have had a couple of keyhole surgeries and a couple of laparatomies plus a course of prostap injections. Although am currently pregnant with dc2, endo has caused me to have my right ovary removed due to it getting stuck to my bowel, and some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. I have a fantastic consultant though.

What did you want to know about the surgeries? For the laparoscopy I would give myself a week to get back to normal at least. Don't underestimate how tired you will feel and maybe weak for a day or too. General anaesthetic does take it out of you. Surgery has always worked for me with endo, as you know once the surgery is over that your bits are as good and clear as they will get. Hope your surgery goes well.
