Bleeding after period

I am having brown blood about a week after my period. I have never had this before.

I'm convinced I have a slight burning in thr vagina and I noticed my pelvis ached slightly. But this may be because I did Dr Google. The burning sesnsation is there.

Any ideas?

You do need to go and get is checked by a doctor.

Mid-cycle bleeding could well be a polyp - these are almost invariably benign and can be removed easily. Are you up to date with smear test? If not, book one of those as well.

No. I am about a year out of date due to DD being born. I will book one now.

Smear test today. Going to speak to the nurse.

Any condition that presents as pregnancy but isnt? Had a headache for four days, morning sickness and dizziness.

No chance pregnant.

Can't think of one - except perhaps start of menopause? There are still a lot of bugs going round, so the sickness etc could be completely unrelated to gynae symptoms.

Adenomyosis also causes mid-cycle bleeding: you need to be scanned to diagnose this (and exclude other conditions).

Just googling, stopping breastfeeding appears to create similar symptoms, and DD has has a total of about 15 mins in the last 5 days.

I had that and it was a polyp as someone up thread mentioned. Minor op to get it taken out no probs at all.
