Sorry if there's a special urinary problem thread, but need to ask question

Since having kidney stones 18 months ago, hospitalised and then 3 separate sessions of heavy-duty lithotripsy over a 6 month period, I've gradually noticed my ability to control flow of wee is diminishing. It's got to the point now where there is no way I could stop mid-flow, no matter how much muscle clenching I do. Anyway, after an embarrassing almost wetting myself incident at the weekend, I decided to squat over mirror to see if anything had "changed" and was horrified to see that the previously (last time I ever noticed about a year ago) tiny hole - urethra opening whatever it's called? is now about 5mm diameter and very obviously open all the time !!!

Could this opening have been stretched by passing the kidney stones? Can it be made smaller, stitched up a bit or something? When I need to wee, the urine just flows, completely out of control :(

Advice anyone please?

Anyone - or am I really posting in the wrong place?

I don't know too much about passing kidney stones but I think you need to go back to your GP or urologist and have urinary flow tests done to see how bad the flow is. I have had this done for urinary stress incontinence, not quite the same thing as you but perhaps if you saw the urologist there might be something they can do, I am sure there is so try not to worry and maybe don't wait until your bladder is really full. Sorry, not much help but someone else might have more to add.

Hey, have myself stress incontinance and kidney stones.
Wet myself badly several times a day when walking, tried many meds, know on the last one to try! Did not have the stones when first presented but these have formed in the last 6 months. Very painful, dont know if connected?
Due to see consultant and bladder nurse end of March again but the dr does not cover stones! Dont know next move as these latest meds not helping either, I am soaked to my ankles after school walk!
Nag your gp for help, it does not get better on its own.
Sorry dont know bout the hole but please get it checked and really good luck.

Thank you, appreciate your comments and hope your own situations improve. Having a smear test in a couple of weeks and will mention to the nurse, for starters. TMI probably but have googled for pics of "urethral opening" and most are hardly visible, so my poor old 5mm hole definitely needs something!
