You'll be fine, BUT:

" If you have any serious medical concerns we would urge you to consult your GP."

Do this TOMORROW.

I'm healthy other then horrid cold! I have a huge phobia of the doctors also I'm scared of the outcome or what they do. I know it's in my best interest but I was just wondering if anyone else had this, I'm 22 good health.

I have had this recently and it was a lymph node - and was confirmed as such by my GP and has now gone away.

Relax, but if you are still unwell in a week/ten days then go to your Dr.

Prob a swollen lymph node as you have a cold. It will go down I am sure. Dodgy lumps aren't usually painful. Go to do s if it doesn't go.

I get these alot when I am full if cold, I can't help rubbing the area, I know exactly what you mean, when I was younger I used to worry and sr always felt under jawline too, they are always there just more prominent when glands are up, sore throat etc. they do feel quite sore to touch, a bit like a painful spot underneath.

MrsMorton · 15/02/2013 16:44

I was chatting to the dr where I work about these today as I spotted one in a patient of mine (am a dentist). She said if it lasts more than 3 weeks then refer. So, maybe give it some time? As someone above said, the nasty lumps don't tend to be painful.

Meganlillymai · 15/02/2013 18:07

Yeh thankyou, this is tender to touch and I'm full of cold, so hoping just a gland it's just the size of a pea I thought glands were bigger then that?
