DS 13months has CP at the moment and I would like to know what the worst stage is and when the itching stops. I think his spots have stopped appearing and they have started to scab over so hopefully he's over the worst of it but as he can't tell me how he feels i'm helpless!

Put him in a warm bath with a couple of heaped tablespoons of bicarb of soda. It takes the heat and itching off and they sleep better. Spots dry up way quicker too.

We give him piriton at night and he is sleeping quite well. Just wanted to know as I can't ask him how he feels!

my ds has it too at the moment. The Gp said to put porridge oats in an old pair of tights and put them in the bath with him. It does work. Also i have been sponging him with the porridgey tights too.

We did the oats/tights thing and it does work
DD didnt really seem ill tho' and didnt scratch much either, but had loads of spots
Piriton at night was a lifesaver for us sleep wise.
I guess we were lucky

I had chickenpox last year. The first 3 days are the worst. The spots stop itching after about a week, when they start drying out.

Hope he feels better soon.

All spots have scabbed over now and he's looking quite a bit better - although has now started with his 8th tooth! If it's not one thing it's another Grin
