I've been to the doctors today and he thinks I have an ovarian cyst. The pain that I get is a sharp, tugging, pulling pain when I move, cough or sneeze and is also painful to touch..

Has anyone else experienced this

I had an ovarian cyst years ago, can't remember the actual type (it had a fancy name) but it suddenly grew huge. I needed sugary to remove it.

My DD had a cyst on her ovary but had no pain, she went to Dr due to sudden excessive long periods/no periods. It was detected under an ultra sound, told to wait 6 weeks and then another scan showed it had disappeared .

I had one back in November. I went to the GP with a left-sided nipping, stinging weird sort of pain and the GP sent me for a trans-vaginal ultrasound which showed a cyst of 3cms. They asked me to come back for a re-scan in around 6 weeks time so they could see if it was growing/shrinking, and that one showed it was down to about 2 and a half cms. I've not had any problems since. Apparantly at my age (52) ovarian cysts are v common and the radiographer said many just shrink away again on their own.
