Abdominal pain in an eight yer old, what could it be?

My DD2 has had abdo pain since yesterday teatime, it's centrered around her belly button constantly but she is also complaining of pain to the lower right handside intermittantly. No vomiting or diarrheao (sp), also no high temp but looks very pale.

Have emergancy apptment at 11am but would like a few ideas incase we see DR miserable.

My ds has had similar problems, she is being assessed for a wheat allergy, also has been low in iron. But other tahn that we still don't really know, it could be a virus. larsxx

Hate to say this, and I certainly don't want to worry you, but your appendix is on the lower right hand side. Might be worth asking the doctor is (s)he thinks it could be that

Moral: it definitely could be a virus; and make sure they give her painkillers!

Doh, the pain is intermittant on the left not the right!

Bink,I had forgotten about mesenteric adonitus [bush]-have already got one daughter who suffered this when ever she got a viral infection!

Lars - may be this as her younger sister has a dairy allergy, but it manifest itself differently in her.
