Why is my mum panicking?

I am never ever sick. Last time I was I'll was 4 years ago when I had confirmed swine flu. (So when I get I'll I do it is style ) this morning I work with a sore throat sore ears and really aching Joints. I phoned my mum who's a nurse to ask for advice and she is coming over. She told me to lie on sofa an do nothing! I thought I had a cold. I have a to too. Anyone know what's wrong with me?

Ask her when she gets there, but I'm sure there's nothing going on.

Now mums here I'm in bed! Asked her was I dying of some rare fever she said. No. But you're never sick so u must be bad to ring me! Bless mum ur the greatest. Seems I prob have a cold! Shock

Did she take your temperature to see if it is raised? If raised then flu, if not just a cold. But aching joints can point to flu.
