Nightime cough - any suggestions

Hi, my DS (3) has had a cough only at nightime for the last four nights. During the day it's more or less gone, but is keeping him up most of the night, he's been sleeping with us, but I sent DH to spare room last night as he was shattered. He's promised me we'll swap tonight, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions. It's quite a dry cough and we've given him a cough medicine, but it doesn't do anything. He's asleep now, so fingers crossed for tonight.

damp towels on the radiator to moisten the air.
Hope he feels better soon!

Olbas oil and the like may help too.

Try Nelsons Sootha - it's a homeopathic cough remedy suitable for kids containing Bryonia & Honey.

Also, damp towels on the radiator or a humidifier in the room. And try raising the head of his bed - put another pillow or couple of blankets under the head of his mattress.

i have a similar problem with DD but it's been going on for about three weeks now - just coughing in the night. I'm exhausted! I've tried to find a humidifier but don't know where to get one. Any suggestions?
