help - back molar extraction and a bit worried about it

I had a top right back molar extracted last tuesday - its healing fine, no bleeding, I'm taking ibuprofen and paracetamol for the swelling and any pain and i rinsing it with salt water after every meal - it feels like I've been thumped in my jaw but thats going now. My worry is that although I've been eating mush, scrambled eggs, pasta yogurt etc and have been really careful not to let food get near it, it feels like there might be a tiny bit of food stuck in the cavity that i cant get out. i've tried giving it a vigorous rinsing with water etc i daren't poke about around it.
Could it be a scab or the skin healing/knitting together?

Hello, please do not poke or prod it. Phone your dentist first thing tomorrow for some advice.
