Mild Cystic Fibrosis?

I think my partner has cystic fibrosis. He has a missing vas (reproductive part) so urologist suggested CF may be a cause. Now suddenly everything makes sense... his wheeziness and his weight (he weights 9 stone). We are awaiting the results of tests but I'm so nervous, have been reading about reduced life expectancy. Would life expectancy be reduced with mild CF?

My ds is a carrier of CF and at the time he was tested his consultant ( CF specialist) said that she had a patient in her seventies who had a mild form of CF.

Sorry to hear about this worrying time. If you look at cft (Cystic Fibrosis Trust UK) website there is lots of information and perhaps you will get some answers and you will definitely find a lot of information and support at this difficult time. From what very little I know, I think I have understood that cf affects each person with the condition differently, so there can be no generalising
