Why am I bleeding?!

First off sorry if this is all a bit TMI...

I have a new boyfriend. Haven't had sex for over 18 months previously but we did the deed 10 days ago which was the first day of my period. All ok, bit messy, not ideal but that's not the point. Then again on Tuesday (end of period), still messy, but again-can deal with that.

Didn't see him again until today when we had sex this afternoon and I bled on him AGAIN! It wasn't a lot, but enough to stain sheets etc.

I can't work out why I am bleeding again? Is this something I should be worrying about?!?

It's all rather embarrassing and today was unexpected

Don't think anyone here will mind level of detail, I was going to ask if it could be a matter of lubrication? The first couple of times you had menstrual blood to help things along. Do you normally have a very regular cycle? Did you experience any pain or discomfort during penetration?

I think I'd prefer to ask my GP for a check over, or nearest clinic, to put my mind at rest.

I had this once. I started the pill on day 1 of my period thought I'd finished a few days later & had some bleeding after having sex which I thought was strange. I can only think it was just menstral blood. A few years later I had bleeding after sex & was not on my period. I had a smear test done & was found to have a cervical erosion. Being on the pill can cause it. It wasn't troublesome after that but the Dr said it could be caurerised. If it happens again then see a Dr as any bleeding should be investigated.
