Hi, my DD has had psoriasis for the last 8 months - it started around the same time we moved house. She also has exema, which started around the same time apart from a small bout when she was 8 months old. The psoriasis has mostly gone now except from her scalp, the GP has prescribed some steroid mouse but it is agony for her where the skin is raw and so difficult to use. She's very aware of it and now some more has cropped up on her elbows. the exema is managable with occasional use of hydracortasone. I was wondering if homeopathy would help, or in fact anything, I can't afford to just throw money at the problem, but obviously will do so if it is likely to help. Anyone with any experience?

I started using homeopathy when dd was born and been very pleased with the results. Depending on where you live, there may be a low cost clinic you can attend - all homeopaths need to train first so there are clinics where you'll be seen by a 'student' who's being supervised. There's a great website - What Really Works with loads of advice for tackling health issues more naturally. Go to the parents and kids section and you'll find both exzma and psoriasis listed - www.whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/kidszone.asp?article_ID=643

Also found this in the Observer - lifeandhealth.guardian.co.uk/health/story/0,,1702395,00.html

and this - observer.guardian.co.uk/woman/story/0,,1747618,00.html

Hope that helps, good luck getting it sorted out.
