Appendectomy anyone?

It's been 2 weeks (tomorrow) and I'm still in pain, due to go back to work on thursday but asking to be signed off for any other couple of weeks!
has anyone's else been through same thing? Advice and encouragement needed, currently in bed feeling extremely tears!

Was it keyhole surgery? I had keyhole abdominal surgery, signed off for 2 weeks, tesco wouldn't give DH sufficient paracetamol, so was going in every other day. I did go back after the 2 weeks, but really shouldn't have done - I needed at least another week on the sofa doing nothing.

It does get better - honest.
