Hi all,
I'm almost 6 weeks after giving birth now, had a calm, fairly quick labour no complications there, however I was discharged 12hours after giving birth and haven't really stopped! I have 3.5yr old too, however I'm at my parents house, hubby was with me for 2 weeks but had to go back down south to work, I've been cooking, and cleaning and looking after both kids - my mum convinced me to stay with them for 2.5 months to 'give me a break' anyway, I've been getting worried as my post partum bleeding was bright red for 5 weeks, it stopped a day then came back, have abdominal pains, headaches, feeling dizzy and weak - I've been to dr she looked at cervix said there's 'alot of bleeding and a bit pus' took a sample to send off to bacteriology and gave me antibiotics, and arranged a blood test to check my iron levels (even thoguh I'm on iron tablets already) - that was Thursday, she said call back on Monday if no improvements and she'll book ultrasound scan, also health visitor suggested it sounded worrying and abnormal and there might be retained membranes or soemthing, so of course I googled it and now I'm really worried as I called dr today and she went back on her word and said wait until thursday.. various sites inc nhs said this kind of thing infection should be treated asap!!
anyone any suggestions?? :-( just feeling a bit worried and let down by doctors always trying to meet statistics!
