Cough Remedy in 7 mo old baby

I feel like I'm writing every day with another topic. My poor we ds is suffering one thing after another. Started with a cold, followed by D & V from a tummy bug which he's still getting over at the moment. However the last two days he's been coughing, which seems to be getting worse. He is coughing so much he's making himself sick. Have tried trixylix which seems to help a little but wondered if there were any suggestions. His poor immune system must be shot?

RAise his matress up with a rolled up towel under it, damp towels on the radiators at night. Also if you have a steam sterilisor, fill it up half way and leave the lid of somewhere safe in his room. (be warned it can make your wall paper fall off)
Karvol decongestant and sanatogen vitamins at night. These are basically just vitamins in glycerol which is the main ingredient of tixylix.
Also you could try giving him bio yoghurt with fruit puree.
