Could this be high blood pressure

For the last month ive been getting what I can only describe as like a palpatation in my chest which causes me to take a deep breathe ive had the odd one before but never like this its a weird feeling .. Im just wondering if it is BP im 39 on the pill high BP runs In the family and my dad died of a massive heart attack at 45 . Another thing is im wondering if i have poor circulation asi always have cold feet and have started with chill blains too but im not sure if any is related.. Im going to make an appointment with go but would appreciate any advice . Thanks

BP tends not to produce symptoms until v high but there are very many causes of palpitations including lots of caffeine, alcohol, thyroid problems . Many are benign and easily resolved.
First step would be straight forward exam with Bp check and ECG and some straight forward blood tests.
