anyone know bout these? Mine are rising with every blood test. Got sent for endoscopies to check me out the results came back ok, endo Dr said he felt my symptoms and high amylase were due to pancreatic disease so sent me for urgent ct scan. Again results ok, just found several kidney sones.
My gp very confused as showing all signs of pancreatic disease.
Anyone??

My amylase was 4000 but that was with acute pancreatitis. It's still a bit high even months later.

there is a pancreatic forum (google UK pancreatic forum) - they're really helpful on there and are bound to know.

wow 4000!!!! Mine 400! Pancreas and gallblader 100% ok, ct showed this.
Amy was at 250, then 400 1 week later, typical pancreas symptom, weight loss, nausea, right dide pain, loo probs, gone off food, wind etc.
Have got gastro app next week but wonder wot they can do as ct looked at all tummy organs and they all fine.
Have heard it can be high cos of salivary glands?
Thanks for replies.

I have heard that mumps can cause high amylase (though I guess you'd know by now). Also gallstones and stomach ulcers. But all that would've shown up on the CT. Weird. It's great that they have given you a through going over...
