Small rough rough mole

I have decided that I should be more aware of the moles on my body due to my Dad recently have a basal cell skin cancer . I have a mole above my hip about 3mm, perfectly round, tan in colour but it is slightly rough to touch. Is it a problem if it is rough. It doesn't feel sore or look angry at all but I am a super worrier. I am always running to GP so just wondered if it is normal to have a rough mole?

Some of mine are rough, a bit.
It's ones that change & grow that are worth worrying about, I reckon.

take a photo of it. Seriously - take a photo and measure it and keep a note of it. Then check it in say 6 months. You will have a reference - both to reassure yourself and also to use as evidence with the medics if it does actually change.

DS had one that DH was a bit concerned about, GP was also slightly concerned, hospital not concerned, but did take a picture, and sent us a copy and said to monitor it.
