Soft lump below armpit

I will see my GP but how urgently?

I noticed it on Friday. It's quite pronounced compared to the other side, but very soft - if it wasn't so different to the same place on the other side I might assume it was just fat. It's not in my armpit but about 5cm below it, next to my breast. Could it just be a lump of fat? Are 'lumps', benign or otherwise, always firm to the touch?

Could be a lipoma I have 2 - 1 under my armpit, but round towards my back rather than my breast and the other is smaller and on top of my shoulder. I would say it's not worth booking an urgent gp slot but to try and get an appointment in the next week or so to get it checked out.

Was lucky to get an appointment later this morning so will see what GP says.
