Strange Buzzy Feeling

Hi I am 53 and menopausal and as well as really bad flushes, I have noticed what can only be described as a buzzing in my arms and legs as if I have been given a tiny electric shock, when I walk I feel a little dizzy and can feel my heart beating when sitting, I know it sounds strange but I feel wobbly a lot of the time and wondered whether anyone else has experienced this and whether it is anything to do with age or just me being weird!

Well, I can't say for certain - but I have been wandering around the internet for a few days looking for peri/menopause symptoms as I think mine are starting, and I have seen mentioned quite a few times that this can be a symptom.

No. 29 in this list:

Man, the things we have to put up with Hmm

Mrsmobbs, I don't know if the things you are feeling are down to the menopause or not. I have had strange buzzing/ vibrations in my limbs for a while now,I am fifty, but it turns out they have been symptoms of a neurological problem.
It's probably best to go to your GP and see what they think.
Sometimes it's easy to blame our age for everything ,but it could be something completely unrelated to that.
Might be nothing but
Definately not something to ignore though.x

I used to get this when not sleeping enough and I also had it after having each of my three children (along with night sweats) so I feel like it might be hormone related?

Hi thanks for messages, have just been to Docs and he is checking my thyroid, but menopause is causing me not to sleep well, so perhaps that is not helping, will have to wait for results or further tests, but a little fed up will always feeling wobbly.

thanks for that link, it really helped as lots of those things seem relevent. But as my Doctor said "your ovaries are dying, that's life" which was not very helpful.
