Omg do I have cancer!!

My throat hasn't been so much sore but I make it worse as I look for problems so I've been swallowing loads adiment there's something wrong with my throat n now thers very slit pain when I swallow, not all the time but now n again n when I looked my tonsil has a little ball like thing on it? I'm worried so much I'm only 21 good health apart from a lump in my cheek wich the doc thought was a simple lymph node and didn't seem worried. Can someone help. I've had swollen glands before doesn't feel as painful as that n the lump is smaller.

Calm down - highly unlikely you have cancer

You probably have tonsillitis or similar

When they're infected they get lumps on which can turn white as they are puss filled

Go to the doctors tomorrow to get yourself checked out

I'm there in a few weeks to check my other lump checked. I'm going to check in a couple of days n if its gone that's fine if its there go to docs ? Think that's a good idea

It's more likely to be a tonsil stone than cancer but if you are worried then see your GP.

Sounds like tonsillitis. DD had this a few months ago and one of her tonsils had a few lumps on it.

Hope so. I'm a terrible worry wart n I'm terrified of cancer. I put everything down to it my doctor goes mad with me lol. He did check my throat 3weeks ago?? So he would have puck something up then if it was serious wouldn't he not???

i think it would be a good idea to figure out why you are so worried about cancer - do you have a family history of it?

as you say you are a fit and healthy 21 year old

You have a lot of life ahead of you and would be better for your anxiety if you could stop being so worried

Not really only my nana is the only person in my whole entire family to have cancer n that was bone cancer. Sadly she passed before I was born or even thought about. Other then that i luckily have a very healthy family. I've been worried about cancer since I was a young teenager maybe 15. I literally out everything down to it but I then get afraid to go to the doctor incase I get the dreaded bad news. The doc checked my mouth and throat 3 weeks ago when I discoverd my lump in my cheek n said everything looks perfectly normal so do you think he would have suspected something then?.?

i really think it would beneficial for you to talk to your GP about your health anxiety

if a GP felt that there was something suspicious in the lump, a referral would surely have been made there and then

I told him and he basically said I was a healthy young girl and I shouldn't worry as much as I do but that was mainly it. I just need reassurance now and again and then I'm fine x
