Appendicitis

Since I had the norovirus a few weeks ago I have a pain that comes and goes approx where I imagine your appendix is.
Tonight it has been irritating the life out of me, but not agony.
Should I go and get anti b's? Will that sort it out or should I wait and see if it develops into something or goes away on it's own?
I'm not a big fan of going to the GP, especially if it turns out to be nothing!

How painful is it? I had Appendicitis about 9 years ago and it developed quite quickly over 24 hours. I was in A&E by the late evening and then kept in hospital for almost a week. Had to have my appendix out.

Can you describe the pain? Depending on how painful it is, it can be necessary to see a Dr soon.

I don't think antibiotics cure an infected appendix do they? I think they have to whip the little blighter out. It might be worth a visit to the GP if it doesn't resolve soon though.

It's really not that painful. It's more irritating than anything. A bit like a stitch. This has been happening for a few weeks so I guess it's not acute, just grumbling on.

Yes they do.

OP get it checked out, it could also be your gall bladder, or the mystery pain I had for 12 months on and off that we never found out what it was.
