periods after. coil

I had coil fitted in early December. I had some very light bleeding in mid December which went on a few days which I smugly assumed was how my new period would be. Then on about the 19th or 20th it got much heavier and has been going ever since. Is this normal and does it indicate I won't be one of those lucky ones who doesn't have periods?

Your story is exactly the same as mine- coil fitted early last December, light bleeding mid December then it gradually increased and I bled for about 5 weeks. It eased off to where I just needed a liner over the weeks. Now I get a very light bleed monthly, lasts about 2 days

ooh that sounds good thank you. One of the attractions of the coil was no more periods to speak of :o
