OMG banana tealoaf as just jumped into my mouth!!

justtired · 03/04/2013 18:11

hmmm not sure belle. im not able to do much excercise as it makes my joints worse from the RA, plus I have a dodgy knee. I am thinking to get a yoga/pilates dvd to do at home and reduce my calorie intake but its soooo hard! I need to do it though.
love the thought of carry on lunges but alas I am not allowed (see dodgy knee above) Grin

Funny you should mention carry on camping, I started a thread yesterday about old comedy movies as I'm trying to watch more :o

Justtired you reminded me I haven't paid for DD's yoga club yet! Her first ever after school activity, I'm not doing well at this Blush

Have been quite good food-wise today. Eggs, berries, yoghurt, seeds for breakfast, veggies, rice cakes, booked eggs for lunch, salmon and veg and a bit of ride for dinner. Plus a couple of bits of dark choc and a couple of the kids sweets...Grin

I can't do anything that makes my heart rate rise, really. Would be okay with stretches, I expect, but cannot wrap my brain around any additional 'shoulds' at the minute.

belleshell · 03/04/2013 18:35

fuzz have you watched the carry on films over the weekend, i love em....Core strength im with you, anymore i shoulds are too much to bare at present!! Im back to work tomorrow, whicjh from a food point of view is good, because i can only have what i take...... so its 2 slices of milk roll to have with a banana, and cous cous and roast veg for my dinner!

fuzzpig · 03/04/2013 19:28

I didn't know there were any on telly (we've been watching some of the anime season on film4) but I LOVE carry on screaming. "Do you mind if I smoke" hehehe

ArbitraryUsername · 03/04/2013 19:36

There's an anime season on film4 right now? What's on? I love a bit of anime.

I just realised that we do actually have film4. I've stopped noticing channels that don't appear on the HD list because H will not watch SD TV.

It is all studio ghibli, there is currently one on each day at varying times. Today it was ponyo which was really lovely. Also enjoyed kiki's delivery service! Tomorrow's is Pom Poko and on Sunday it's The Cat Returns, not sure about others though. I'd not really watched much before (except spirited away and howls moving castle) but I'm really enjoying it :)

ArbitraryUsername · 03/04/2013 22:29

Ah. We have pretty much the whole ghibli lot on DVD. However, DS2 is off nursery tomorrow and might be keen to watch Pom poko (which we don't have) while I nap on the couch.

fuzzpig · 04/04/2013 08:35

The advert for it looked a bit scary Blush

Any other ghibli films you particularly recommend? Makes a nice change from Disney :o

An article in Discover magazine about the ME drug research MEandyou are fundraising for. You might have to scroll down a bit.

My neighbour Totoro is absolutely lovely. DS2 loves it.

Also good are nausicaa, princess mononoke, Laputa: castle in the sky and arietty. The cat returns is quite fun. It's a kind of sequel to whisper of the heart but the two are very different. Whisper of the heart is a realistic romance type thing; the cat returns is a fantasy adventure. Porco rosso is about a flying pig. Grin

Grave of the fireflies is incredibly sad. You will weep buckets. And it will stay with you.

Tales from earthsea isn't great, especially not if you're expecting it to be at all like the books.
